POSITION SUMMARY:

The Part-Time Snow Removal Technician will follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes.

The Part-time Snow Removal Technician will be able to commit a minimum of 2-3 days/week to be “On-Call” for early morning snow removal. Shifts begin as early as 2 am when overnight snowfall requires clearing. This is a labor-intense position with significant hand shoveling required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Snow removal by hand or snow blower around decks, stairs, roofs and walkways.

  • Spread ice melt and sand on icy areas

  • Dig out signs, ski racks, trash cans, benches and other objects

  • Report safety hazards to appropriate individuals

  • Report on time when called in for work

  • Be able to fulfill commitment for entire winter season

  • Ability to get to Resort by 2am for shift (requires personal transportation)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • Experience with snow blowers is beneficial

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License & with acceptable driving record.

  • Experience working with high volume public situations

  • Be in good physical condition

  • Able to perform moderate to heavy lifting

  • Withstand sub-zero temperatures
