Amentum Control Room Operator in Windsor, Colorado
Amentum is seeking a control room operator to join our team in Windsor CO Position hours: rotating 12 hour shifts.
This position is responsible for operating and maintanining all Control Room related equipment.
Identifies and corrects problems with the boilers.
Monitors room temperatures and humidity set points, performs equipment startup and shutdown procedures, and verifies normal operating conditions.
Monitors building automation system to ensure proper operation of air handling equipment, chillers, boilers, exhaust fans, energy recovery units, etc.
Makes daily chiller and boiler readings, and submits reports as required to meet local and state requirements.
Monitors building automation systems to ensure proper operation of facilities equipment. Monitors room temperatures and humidity set points for labs, office and common areas.
Records critical process information every 4 hours.
Performs equipment startup and shutdown procedures, and verifies normal operating conditions. Makes adjustments as necessary.
Maintains cleanliness of equipment.
Work with steam systems (e.g. high pressure steam boilers), centrifugal chillers, air handling units, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, VAV pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems.
Performs water treatment chemical analysis.
Maintains/performs Preventative Maintenance schedules and building routes/rounds.
Repairs piping systems including pumps, motors, and valves.
Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
Complies with all governmental, company, and industrial regulations, codes, and standards, health safety practices, and permit systems.
Reads and interprets work from drawings, work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) through the use of a mobile device.
Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
Safely performs functions of the position including following proper company safety guidelines, such as lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work procedures, and wearing PPE as required.
Demonstrates attention to detail, good comprehensive and analytical skills, and excellent organizational skills.
Other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.
High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Five years of experience as an industrial HVAC or industrial mechanical maintenance technician, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read dials, gauges, monitor equipment, and log data.
Ability to read and understand instructions, repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions.
Demonstrated experience working in an industrial maintenance environment
Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Previous experience with control room operations
Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
