Amentum Boiler Operator in Windsor, Colorado
Amentum is seeking a Boiler or Roving Operator to join our team in Windsor, CO on nights working a 12 hour rotating shift
This position is responsible for adjusting boilers and other equipment.
Essential Functions :
Works closely with Control Room Operator, Identifying and correcting problems with the boilers and other facility equipment.
Monitors building automation systems to ensure proper operation of facilities equipment. Monitors room temperatures and humidity set points for labs, office and common areas.
Records critical process information every 4 hours.
Performs equipment startup and shutdown procedures, and verifies normal operating conditions. Makes adjustments as necessary.
Operates steam generation, refrigeration, purified air, compressed air, fire/service water distribution, nitrogen systems and associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Takes daily chiller and boiler readings. Submits reports as required to meet local and state requirements.
Maintains cleanliness of equipment, piping, buildings, cooling towers, and building shop floors and control rooms.
Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
Complies with all governmental, company, and industrial regulations, codes, and standards, health safety practices, and permit systems.
Provides training to other team members to ensure continued customer support during an absence and to teach specialized skills and techniques.
Reads and interprets work from drawings, work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) through the use of a mobile device.
Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.
Safely performs functions of the position including following proper company safety guidelines, such as lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work procedures, and wearing PPE as required.
Demonstrates attention to detail, good comprehensive and analytical skills, and excellent organizational skills.
Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment, yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
Other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.
High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Two years of experience as an industrial HVAC or industrial mechanical maintenance technician, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience working in an industrial maintenance environment
Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
This position may require a valid Driver’s License.

Associates degree in Industrial Electrical, Industrial Technology, HVAC, or related skilled trade program.
Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
