MTech Mechanical HVAC Service Technician in Westminster, Colorado

Job SummaryOperates diagnoses, maintains and repairs HVAC/R systems and equipment forMTech Mechanical Services commercial/industrial clients. Also providestechnical education for team members as needed.Essential Job FunctionOperates and diagnoses HVAC/R systems and equipment up to 100 tons coolingcapacity and 10 million BTU's heating capacityMonitors systems operation to ensure efficiency and compliance withspecifications using manufacturer's handbooks, MTech procedures and localcodesResponsible for client satisfaction with all clients/projects assigned;Interprets drawings and schematics and installs HVAC/R components; TestHVAC/R equipment for proper operationVerifies equipment registrations per local, state and federal codesMaintains and repairs HVAC/R equipment and systemsPlans and performs recurring maintenance and seasonal overhaul on systems andcomponentsUses drawings and schematics to analyze and isolate malfunctionsTroubleshoots systems using manufacturer's handbook, MTech procedures andlocal codesMust be familiar with State, Federal and Local codes and hold journeymanlicenses for Denver and/or other local municipalitiesEnsures compliance with environmental regulations of fuels, refrigerants andother hazardous materialsModifies equipment for increased reliability and/or to increase efficiencyRepairs or replaces componentsComplete all required paperwork at the jobsiteMaintains shop tools and equipmentAbility to operate a company vehicle in accordance with the MTech policy andprocedures manualNATE Certification and maintenance of certification is requiredRegular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet therequirements of this positionOther duties as assignedQualificationsHVAC technical school two year degree or certificate; or high school diplomawith a minimum 3 years relevant experienceMust be approved to drive per MTech's driving standardsHighly motivated and independent self-starterStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExpertise in all aspects of HVAC serviceAbility to work on call when neededStrong written and oral communication skillsContinued training is requiredAmericans with Disability SpecificationsPhysical DemandThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must bemet by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob.
