Like every member of the Apex Team, your role as Foreman is key to the company's success. While responsibilities of the Foreman will vary day to day, in general you will often:

  • Train, apply, and supervise construction technicians.

  • Manage project activities and timelines.

  • Operate hand-held and heavy construction equipment.

  • Apply construction and regulatory compliance techniques.

  • Document field observations.

  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate subcontractor activity.

  • Account for project materials and equipment.

  • Ensure safe performance and work practices of project work.

  • Apply construction techniques.

  • Learn regulations and compliance techniques.

  • Actively develop your own career path.

Minimum Requirements

Great minds think alike! Now that we understand each other, let's sort through the minimum qualifications for this position:

  • GED or High School Diploma.

  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

  • State UST certification.

  • 5-7 years of landscaping/construction experience.

  • Experience with operation of heavy construction equipment (e.g. skid loader, backhoe, excavator), hand tools.

  • Ability to manage budgets and timelines, manage staff, and provide subcontractor oversight.

  • Work in Confined Spaces and Inclement Weather

  • Ability to Lift 60lbs

  • Able to perform manual labor.

  • Knowledge of sediment and erosion control.

  • General carpentry and plumbing experience is helpful.

  • Comfortable using pickups/equipment trailers.

  • Good driving record.

  • Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations
