Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Engineer Satellite Systems 4 for our Schriever Air Force Base, CO location.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform as the NOALS Current Operations Manager
Manage program work centers: 24/7 satellite operations, resource scheduling, and training
Manage a flexible operations workforce capable of quickly adapting to a very dynamic environment while achieving mission objectives
Effectively manage operations crew schedules and overtime
Effectively interface with the NOALS DO, DE, and other work-center leads as required
Ability to certify and maintain certification as an Operations Controller
Attend and/or present at all required customer meetings, and other meetings as appropriate.
Effectively manage both NG and sub-contractor teammates in a grey badge environment
Recognize deserving employees through the customer's awards program
Evaluate and recommend mitigation of potential risks to the mission
Strong team building and organization skills in a high paced dynamic environment
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of9 years of real-time space operations experience
AFSCN experience required
Active DoD Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and pass required CI polygraph
Knowledge and understanding of satellite operations, communication networks and ground antenna operations
Ability to clearly convey operational knowledge to both technical and non-technical people in writing as well as verbally
Subject matter expert in managing 24x7/365 satellite operations facility and staff
Ability to effectively manage resources to address real-time operations dynamics
Demonstrated leadership in maturing personnel and operational capabilities
