Technician Driver CDLThis employee performs equipment setups, specifically concentrators durablemedical equipment, etc. in a professional, safe, and timely manner. Thisequipment is placed in apartments, private homes, clinics, hospitals,nursing homes, and other areas where people with respiratory problemsJob Responsibilities:* Ability to work independently* Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills* Be fully aware of safety procedures in the delivery and setup ofrespiratory equipment* Complete equipment orientation checklists for new equipment and othernecessary paperwork as required for new patient set up* Instruct patient in the safe and proper use of equipment* Make oxygen deliveries (cylinder and concentrator) and equipment checkson a daily route as determined by the patient base and Lincare routingsystem* Deliveries may include refilling reservoirs with liquid oxygen from avan mounted tank* Perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance onequipment both in the home and at the center* For equipment repairs requiring other than minor repair, work equipmentis to be packaged for shipment to the manufacturer or their designee* Responsible for equipment maintenance per schedule recommended by themanufacturer* Maintain company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner* Make daily inspections and complete the proper paperwork* Maintain established preventative maintenance schedule* Clean rental equipment, when returned to the center, in accordance withLincare policies and procedures* Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area* Follow FDA guidelines pertaining to cylinder tracking and oxygen analyzertesting* Follow Lincare policies as indicated in the operations manual andtraining manuals, including those found in the Safety .and. Regulatory Manualregarding General Safety, OSHA (includes the proper use of PersonalProtective Equipment), DOT (includes adherence to the Vehicle SafetyDisciplinary Policy), FDA, and Emergency Planning* Work as on-call service representative evenings and weekends on an asscheduled basis* Frequency is determined by the center size and the number of employeesavailable to share in the responsibility* Must respond in a timely manner and record information on Service CallReport* May serve as a backup to other employees for vacation, illness,and other periods of absenteeism* Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally liftand/or move more than 120 poundsQualifications:* Must be 21 years of age* Must have good interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills* Ability to convey a positive and professional image to customers andemployees* Ability to read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork* Strong customer service* Basic computer skillsEducation and Experience:* High School Diploma, GED or 10 years of experience within current CDL class* Must have or be able to get a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)and be DOT qualified or DOT certifiable* Must maintain in good standing with CDL during the entire course ofemploymentLincare is an equal opportunity employer, access, and affirmative actionemployer.
