It's how the bestideas come to light-and why the best people choose to work at EVRAZ.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Production Supervisor to join Rail Mill team located inPueblo, Colorado. As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible forall day to day manufacturing and quality operations in the Rail Mill. Thisposition is accountable to the General Supervisor of Production - Rail Mill.* Perform daily mill inspections with an eye for safety and productivityissues, coordinate with mill support groups to design and implementcountermeasures* Conduct shift safety meetings, train employees on safe work practices,and conduct daily safe job observations* Conduct daily tool-box talks with mill operators* Use LEAN tools from the EVRAZ Business System engage employees tocontinuously improve mill operations* Schedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and training* Responsible for managing an operational team, quality team, andmaintenance support staff, during manufacturing operations and whileperforming operational maintenance of mechanical equipment including;hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems* Conduct performance evaluations for probationary employees* Supervise the Quality Assurance Inspectors* Use quality standards to evaluate product conformance and troubleshootquality issues in a timely manner* Manage, organize, and inventory mill parts and tooling.* Maintain necessary inventory of mill supplies, interface with storehouseand vendors as needed for resupply and trials* Maintain and correct electronic and written records including; shiftperformance, heat traceability, and quality assurance* Maintain KRONOS Pay System by reviewing, editing, and approving employeetime cards daily* Maintain a good working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreementsand applicable company policies* Write and issue Improvement Action Reports (IARs) as needed per companypolicy* Process and document grievances as the first step in the grievanceresolution process.* This position may be required to cross-train into other supervisory roleswithin the Rail DepartmentJob Requirements* Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent experience* Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel* Proven written and verbal communication skills,* Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills* Strong leadership and managerial skills* Strong problem-solving and proven decision-making skills* Ability to interact with all levels of our organization and communicateprofessionally* Must have ability to work in a team environment with proven interpersonalskills* Initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions* Ability to multitask* Five years experience supervising a rolling mill operation, preferredAll applicants must be legally able to work in the USA without sponsorship.EVRAZ is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Individualswith Disabilities, and Veterans.While we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered foremployment will be cont
