As a team we collaborate tosolve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growthand ultimately success for the business and our employees.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Rail Mill team at our plantlocated in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Production Supervisor, you willoversee the Rail Finishing operation. You will develop, direct and managea team of employees in the safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufactureof high-quality rail products.* Maintain KRONOS Pay System by reviewing, editing, and approving employeetime cards daily* Conduct shift safety meetings, train employees on safe work practices,and conduct daily safe job observations* Use LEAN tools from the EVRAZ Business System engage employees tocontinuously improve mill operations* Supervising the shipping of finished product* Performance evaluations of new hires* Developing, coaching, and training of Employees* Monitoring daily production and delay management* Building of operations and maintenance Teamwork* Interface with all levels of personnel* Maintain and improve department 6S daily management* Maintain a good working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreementsand applicable company policies* Write and issue Improvement Action Reports (IARs) as needed per companypolicy.* Process and document grievances as the first step in the grievanceresolution processRequirements* Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent preferredSteel manufacturing experience an asset* Front-line supervisory or team leader experience managing cross-functionalteams* Knowledge and experience with roller straightening of rails or specialsections, sawing and gag press operations, process troubleshooting, andmaterial flow logistics* High mechanical aptitude* Proven ability to professionally communicate, in written and verbal forms* Proven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe,high-quality results and maximum productivity* Three years of rail or special section finishing experience, preferred* Experience with database development, statistical process control,process control, and automation technologies, and lean manufacturingprinciples, preferred* Experience with Oracle quality and production modules and Oracle 11irequisitioning, preferred* Strong time management skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environmentCompensation* $71,800 - $90,000Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!* A bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational andindividual performance* Family medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage at minimalemployee cost* Short and long term disability programs* Retirement Account contributions and (401k) with employer match* Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts* Employer-provided Group Life and Voluntary Life Insurance options* Paid vacations, sick time, and 10 paid holiday days per year* Apprenticeship and career advancement within the company* Tuition reimbursement* Wellness programAll applicants must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.While we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered foremployment will be contacted.Equal Opportunity EmployerEVRAZ North America is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
