As a team we collaborate tosolve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growthand ultimately success for the business and our employees.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Mill Mechanical Technician to join our team at our plantlocated in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Mill Mechanical Technician (MMT),you will provide all necessary mechanical maintenance to all areas of the Millin a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible for Mechanicalmaintenance, installation, repair, assembly, or dismantling of mechanicalequipment such as gear boxes, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, pumps, packings,seals, piping and valves, mechanical power transmission and drive systems,couplings, shaft alignments, lubricants, overhead cranes, and other heavyindustrial equipment.You will troubleshoot, determine and obtain parts, and make necessaryrepairs to Mill Machinery.This position reports to the Superintendent of Maintenance.* Serve the function(s) of a Boilermaker, Millwright, Pipefitter andWelder depending upon training and certification* Complete the training program to become skilled in all four of the craftsmentioned above* Take control of any situation to install, repair, assemble or dismantleanything in the Mill* Work with all Shops machines and equipment, mobile equipment of everykind, all structures, production equipment, systems, appropriate hand, powerand measuring tools, prints and drawings, and necessary safety equipment* Observe lockout procedures* Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly* Perform routine maintenance and assisting Maintenance personnel* Operate overhead cranes as needed* Work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, while exposedto elevated noise levels, vibrations, extreme cold, and heat; conditionswhich require, use of a respirator or dust mask; in close proximity tomoving parts, electrical currents; working on scaffolding and high places;exposure to natural gas, high heat, hot surfaces, molten metal, chemicals,oils* Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as requiredRequirements* Must have completed or, have the equivalence of a craft apprenticeship inone of the following four crafts: Boilermaker, Millwright, Pipefitter, andWelder Strong background in hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting and repairskills* 3 years of experience as an electrician in heavy industry, manufacturing,or mining; experience working with machinery, equipment operation, or aclosely related field preferred* Must be able to read, understand and work from Mechanical Prints,drawings, and schematics* Strong troubleshooting, repair, and installation skills* Must have a valid Colorado drivers license and a mobile equipmentqualification.* Strong troubleshooting, repair, and installation skills* Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervisionand manage your time when given multiple tasks* Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability tocollaborate effectively with all levels of personnel* Physical ability to climb, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl,make repetitive motions, hear, etc., and the ability to constantly exertforces up to 50 pounds and frequently exert forces up to 100 pounds tolift, carry, push and pull* Qualified Candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency throughtestingThe above statement reflects the general details considered necessary todescribe the principal functions of the job identified, and shall not beconstrued as a detailed description of all of the work requirements that maybe inherent in the job.* $25.88 - $31.00 per hourShift differentialOur total compensation package includes amazing benefits!A bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizationalperformanceFamily medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage at minimalemployee costShort and long term disability programsPension
