This position is a member of Western Midstream’s Engineering & Construction Team in our Platteville, CO location. The incumbent will supervise the commissioning and startup of field CTF’s, Cryo Plants, Oil Handling facility’s, and SWD Facilities throughout the US in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost-effective manner.
• Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. • Work with operations foreman and engineering to develop commissioning plans and to define roles and responsibilities on individual projects. • Follow WES instrumentation calibration best practices. • Ensure that all commissioning tasks required for turnover to operations are completed and documented. • Manage all facilities PSSR’s for the Engineering & Construction Team. • Monitor spending. • Work closely with the project manager on projects and day to day operational matters. • Attend PHA’s to provide input to the Engineering Teams. • Communicate with all stakeholders openly and honestly. • Manage Engineering & Construction commissioning team. • Work closely with Operations commissioning team to ensure that their tasks are completed in conjunction with the required project schedule. • Assist Operations commissioning team with management of scheduling of contractors. • Provide stakeholders with commissioning and production reports as required. • Monitor metering and associated equipment including communication/automation utilizing Cygnet. • Work with regulatory staff. • Develop synergies and shared responsibilities. • Build relationships with extended teams to ensure alignment within WES. • Report any and all spills/drips or safety hazards. • Train others associated with job duties.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience is required. • The ideal candidate for this position should possess five (5) years’ experience with electrical and instrumentation operations and testing as well as five (5) years’ experience working in Cryogenic Plants, Amine Plants and/or oil handling facilities. • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles • Ability to perform construction tasks. • Strong computer skills (Microsoft office suite) • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required • Previous leadership experience required • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
