Job SummaryAssist Electrician with performing skilled level electrical work ininstallation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems,equipment and fixtures in accordance with standard practices of the electricaltrade in a variety of settings (residential, commercial or industrial).Qualifications: Either a current Colorado Electrical Apprentice license or willingnessto obtain the license Clean driving record and valid driver's license High school diploma or equivalent Must have a variety of tools of the trade (see tool list) Must enroll in apprenticeship classes if educational requirements havenot been met (schooling is provided by CAM Electric) Strong ability to learn electrical theory, and the associatedprinciples, materials and equipment Ability to learn to read and understand electrical blueprints,schematics and diagrams and reference the National Electrical Code (NEC)codebook for electrical code Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems Willing to work overtimeResponsibilities: Assist electrician with the following:o Inspect, test and diagnose issues with electrical systems and componentso Install and repair electrical wiring, systems and fixtures inresidential and commercial buildingso Install conduit and pipe to house electrical wires and cableso Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes,blueprints and standardso Connect electrical systems to local powerlines to provide electricity tothe buildingo Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operationo Diagnose and repair electrical issueso Replace conduit, wiring, circuit breakers as needed Comply with laws and regulations pertaining to safety to include OSHA,MSHA, state and fire codes. Perform other related duties as assignedPhysical requirements: Must be able to traverse and work in all areas of a jobsite in all typesof weather. This includes, but is not limited to, prolonged periods ofstanding, kneeling, and bending. Must be able to work at various heights from ladders, scaffolding andaerial lifts. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Exposure to characteristic construction dangers Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring Required to work at each job location, working from home is not available
