DescriptionWe are looking to expand our construction crews and employee owners! TheMorton brand is well known for quality, durability, innovation andworkmanship. As a member of our constructioncrew, you will work under the guidance of your foreman, along with otherson the team, to construct our buildings and bring the customers' dreams tolife. Our foremen average 16 years of experience, so not only do you buildthe best, you learn from the best! These positions provide significantcareer advancement which is largely driven by your desire to succeed.Bonus! Earn an additional $2000 your first year. New crew members receivean additional $500 bonus every quarter during their first year of employmentwith Morton Buildings. These bonuses are subject to all applicable withholdingtaxes.Under the guidance of your crew foreman you will:Learn, keep current with and apply the Morton Buildings' safety andconstruction procedures, methods, and standardsRead, understand and build according to construction plansUtilize various tools and equipment to safely and efficiently constructbuildingsEfficiently execute tasks such as: digging and installing footings,framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, entry and otherdoors and door openings, installing various siding and roofing materialsincluding hi-rib steel, shingles, wood and other siding materials andmortarless masonry units, finishing with metal and wood trimsWork with other crewpersonnel in a safe, organized, productive andenjoyable work environment treating everyone with dignity and respectQUALIFICATIONSBuilding construction (post-frame), carpentry or framing experiencepreferred (on the job or in school)Willingness to participate in and complete a training programMust possess a valid driver's licenseClass ACDL is highly desiredOSHA 10-Hour Certification is highly desiredAvailable to work a flexible schedule (6 am to 6 pm) that will includeSaturdays during peak construction periodsAbility to take directionProduce quality work in an efficient mannerAgree to comply with all our safety processes and proceduresWillingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and propermannerAbility to operate specialized safety equipment efficiently and effectivelyStandard weight lifting requirements - 50 pounds, with occasional lifting upto 100 poundsCapable of working in a physically demanding environment and at variousheights (up to 40 feet)Possess good communication skills - both written and verbalThis position requires 90% travel, which includes overnight travelpossibly up to two weeks at a time.Benefits include:$500 quarterly retention bonus for the first year of employmentEmployee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Excellent medical/dental/prescription coverageLife InsuranceBonus incentives for building in efficient mannerTraining bonusSafety incentivesPaid holidaysPaid vacationPaid sick timeBad weather pay401K Opportunity
