Boulder Scientific Company Manager, Maintenance in Mead, Colorado

Boulder Scientific Company is headquartered in Mead, CO, and is a premierprovider of organometallic compounds and other specialty chemicals used in awide range of applications. BSC is a pioneer and leading manufacturer ofmetallocene catalysts and co-catalysts that are primarily used to producemetallocene polyethylene, polypropylene and elastomers. BSC operates threesites in Northern Colorado, which include: (i) a main productionfacility in Mead, (ii) a second facility in Longmont, and (iii) anexpansion site for future production in Milliken. BSC has continuously grownthe sales of its products to existing and new customers and expects tocontinue on a high growth trajectory.We are seeking a knowledgeable Manager, Maintenance for our complexoperating sites and systems.The Manager, Maintenance's primary responsibility is performing and/oroverseeing maintenance on all plant manufacturing machinery including but notlimited to reactors, pumps, agit ators, compressed air system,boilers, cooling towers, HVAC/chillers, water systems, electricalsystems, etc. This person will manage a staff of maintenance mechanics. Thisperson will be responsible for supporting compliance efforts with local,state, and federal regulations concerning environmental affairs, OSHA,NFPA, DHS, and other governing agencies.QualificationsEducation:Two-year college degree or equivalent experience required. Engineering orMaintenance-related degree preferred.Required Experience:*8 - 12 years of leading manufacturing and/or maintenance departments,preferably in a chemical or heavy industry with multiple sites with laboratoryand office facilities oversight accountability* Leadership experience in a manufacturing organization with multiple siteresponsibility and demonstrated management and compliance experience comprisedof one or a combination of the following areas: Facilities maintenance,plant engineering, PSM Mandated Process equipment and Mechanical Integrityprograms, capital and overhead budget planning, leading employees, costcontrol, budgeting, and management systems and programs revolving aroundcontinuous improvement, and predictive and preventative maintenance leading to* Proven facilities leadership experience with an organization supportingtechnical operations and equipment maintenance related to GMP or Fine Chemicalmanufacturing, test labs, clean rooms, and complex building support systems* Working knowledge of facilities integrated work order management system,Computerized Maintenance Management Systems* Lean Six Sigma Training/Certification is preferred* Project management experience is preferred.* 8+ years of prior management experience is preferred* Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude* Possesses basic knowledge of required codes (OSHA, PSM, etc)* Displays process driven mentality* Experienced with proactive planning and adhering to a schedule* Proficiency in Microsoft Office* Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, control logic, PandIDs,Isometric drawing, blueprints, vendor drawings and mechanical drawings*Must pass a job-related physical exam.Boulder Scientific Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
