The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall planning and managementof the operation and personnel in accordance with corporate guidelines andcontract requirements.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Coordinates and over sees the activities of the Production Planner, SupplyChain Mgr., and MOD Team Leads in the performance of aircraft modificationprogram and projectsManages to the established cost, schedule, and performance of aircraftmodification programs and projectsEnsures compliance with safety proceduresManages and oversees administrative and technical functions to ensure thecontractual requirements are being fulfilledInterfaces with the customer as required and supports customer requestsSupports Resource Management and Planning efforts for personnel, facilitiesand equipmentMaintains and coordinates movement of property and equipmentResponsible for management and maintenance of the facilityPlans, proposes, coordinates and administers activities related tofacility maintenance such as janitorial services, lawn maintenance,HVAC, plumbing, trash disposal, electrical/electricians,renovation, new construction and modificationsAs directed coordinates with Landlord or property manager on building relatedissuesDefines, budgets for, and manages replacement office equipment,furniture and fixtures in accordance with management plansMaintains current inspections and inspection records for fire and zoning itemsResponsible for managing and supporting all phases of assigned environmentalhealth and safety programs to ensure a safe and healthful work environment;ensures compliance with approved Ground Operating Procedures (GOPs)ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hoursOther duties as assignedCOMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, andCompliance regulations (internal and external)Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such asTime Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations, Salary Reviews,Succession Planning, etc.Responsible for leadership oversight and for ensuring Department/Team trainingEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:BS Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or equivalent experience10yrs exp. demonstrated leadership and management exp. especially in aircraftmodification environmentAbility to read and interrupt drawing, Knowledgeable in various computerword processing programs, illustrating, spares modeling, RAM modeling,and BSI programsDetailed knowledge of MIL-STDs, MIL-Specs and DIDsIMPORTANT NOTICE:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S.citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual asdefined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the requiredauthorizations from the U.S. Department of State.At Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) we deliver customer-focused technologyand best-of-breed integrations in the aerospace and defense sectors.
