Kelly Services Quality Lab Technician in Longmont, Colorado

Job title: Quality Lab Technician

Location: Longmont CO

Duration: 3-6 months

Pay: $26.00-$28.00/hr. DOE

Kelly Services is looking for an experienced, reliable, self-driven Metrology/ Quality Lab Technician to join our customer in their Longmont, CO facility. This individual will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continual improvement. They will need to be detailed oriented, process/procedure compliant and ethical. This position will report directly to the Quality Manager.

Background & Skills:

In order to be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria.

  • Required experience using CMM and ability to program using PCDIMS to inspect product.

  • Previous experience in an automotive quality metrology lab or other highly regulated manufacturing lab required

  • Ability to read and understanding GD&T drawings and measure all characteristics with minimum guidance

  • Required experience using a variety of tools such as: CMM, Optical Comparator, micrometers, ring gages, thread gages, depth mics, height gages etc. to ensure product meets specifications.

  • Ability to document all required measurements on a First Article form including bubble print and organize information for easy retrieval at a moment’s notice.

  • Efficient and able to prioritize work in a fast pace environment.

  • Organized and ability to communicate measurements found out of spec to appropriate coworkers

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Program CMM using PCDIMS program to measure variety of characteristics on engineering drawings

  • Work efficiently to ensure product for incoming inspection is properly evaluated prior to production use and able to meet timelines.

  • Document all work completed in a simple but easy to read format.

  • Ensure all documentation is maintained up to date when engineering makes engineering changes

  • Recognize and drive continual improvement within their scope of work.
