Baker Hughes Manufacturing Operations Leader in LONGMONT, Colorado
RoleSummary:
The Manufacturing Operations Leader is responsible for all manufacturing operations to ensure a safe, consistent daily operational environment and to build a culture of teamwork and accountability. In this role the MOL will manage the Longmont manufacturing team to achieve site goals and overall business objectives in the manufacture and test of legacy and new product control systems.
EssentialResponsibilities:
In the role of Manufacturing Operations Leader, you will:
Be responsible for all processes, documentationand procedures related to project manufacturing, test and quality assurance
Manage all daily manufacturing operationsthroughout the production areas
Ensure products are delivered on time with thehighest quality levels.
Champion a safe working environment
Drive shop floor operations teams towardsexecution of business goals using Lean Manufacturing methodology and BrilliantFactory tools
Promote a working environment that encourages employeeinvolvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality,inventory and Environmental Health& Safety (EHS)
Improve operations performance as measured by ontime delivery, cost of quality, cycle time and production costs
Ensure sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customercommitments
Work in a seamless fashion with materials,engineering, project management, quality and other associated functions toachieve business goals
Develop, review and action reports and metricsfor manufacturing work centers and activities
Communicate safety and quality issues and allproduction shortfalls to affected functions in a timely fashion
Ensure communication of key business / customer issues toemployees
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accreditedcollege or university
A minimum of 5 years ofmanufacturing/operations experience (or OMLP/JOLP/Aspire graduate for BakerHughes employees with 2 additional years of manufacturing /operationsexperience).
Minimum3 years ofexperienceworking in a Lean manufacturing environment
DesiredCharacteristics:
MBA or Master’s Degree in manufacturing,business or engineering
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, OPEX and/orTPM implementation and generation of manufacturing transformation plans
Knowledge and experience of SAP (or other ERPsystem) for production scheduling and support
Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing managementsuch as production and inventory control, variable cost productivity,fulfillment metrics, quality systems, and cost systems
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skillswith demonstrated ability to influence and communicate with all levels of theorganization, including senior leadership
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities thatdemonstrate motivation and inspiration of others
Inclusive leadership style with proven abilityto build a connection with the team through personal involvement and trust
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities at onetime
Ability to cope with and resolve multiplecomplex situations daily
Ability to manage priorities to achieve targetresults
JOLP/OMLP/Aspire graduate (Internal Employees)
Six Sigma training is preferred
Prior experience working in a Lean manufacturingenvironment
