This position is for the Denver Metro area and Northern Colorado. A candidate who lives in the Longmont CO area would be ideal.
The Field Service Tech will be running break-fix cases in N. Colorado. Estimated daily miles would be 60 -70 miles. These service calls would be for retail big box stores and 24-hour convenience locations. WE would like to see a minimum of 5 years of experience in break-fix for POS and printers.
This is a driving position which requires a DMV background check to be completed
Use of reliable, personal vehicle required – miles reimbursed according to CompuCom policy
Candidate must be a SELF-STARTER and a team player. They need to be someone who reaches out to the team looking to help anyone with a heavy load. In addition, this role requires willingness to spend time on the phone with other techs to assist with difficult problems.
The work schedule will start out at Mon-Fri, 9 AM to 6 PM. This could easily evolve to one weekend day so the schedule would change to accommodate that weekend day. There is on-call that goes for a full week Mon at 6P through the following Mon at 9A. This is on a rotating basis, and there would be a backup on-call to assist the current on-call tech if necessary, and that is for the same Mon - Mon schedule. Overtime does happen but hopefully, with the addition of this person, overtime would be limited.
Technician will travel to each client’s location to provide service
Must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs)
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs desktops, laptops, servers, and printers
Works under general supervision
Strong printer break-fix experience
Point of Sale experience a major plus
Retail experience as well as retail and network certifications a plus
5+ years of experience supporting desktops, laptops, and printers
Customer service experience required
Ability to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekends
Interpersonal skills needed to interact with a wide range of users and environments
Basic Needs / Haves:
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required (driving position – reimbursed accordingly)
Ability to lift and move IT equipment
