1st Shift Scodix Press OperatorJob LocationsUS-CO-LittletonJob CategoryProductionID2021-5707ShiftUS - Weekday daysOverviewUnder direction of the Print Manager the Scodix Pressman will operate theDigital Scodix Press to produce high-quality print that meet customer'srequirements. Will run jobs in a timely manner and double check the copy foraccuracy of graphics, quantity, material and color. Inspect and clean thepress parts on a regular basis and report on any needs for repairs and/ormaintenance. Adhere to safety practices of operating a digital press. Maintainan extremely clean work area. Ensure the production and timely delivery ofhigh-quality plastic secured cards according to customer specifications andCompany quality objectives.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Reads and understands job tickets to guarantee correct product is produced toquality standards and specification.Identifies and selects correct substrates used for the specific jobsMakes decisions regarding quality, color control and color standardsProvides demonstrations to customers on a routine basisCompletes quality checks and tests to ensure product meets all physical andvisual requirementsMonitor production throughout the run, making adjustments to reduce waste,and increase productivityResponsible for troubleshooting equipment, making minor adjustments,completing basic repairs, as well as preventive maintenanceOperates material handling equipment to move loads in and out of work areaAnalyzes and corrects drying/curing problemsRecommends optimal strategies and ideas for efficient use of materials,equipment and schedulingCommunicate job specific information to internal customersAssists in developing the department's Standard Operational ProceduresTrack and inventory all consumablesComplete necessary paperwork and recordsMaintain a clean orderly work areaFollows all Safety ProceduresPerforms other related duties as assigned or required.Digital Press experience a plus.Willing to assist in other departments when neededAncillary Responsibilities:Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Safety Program.Adhere to all CPI security requirements including counting and documenting thedisposition of all cards to and from the operation.Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Quality Management System.Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Workmanship Manual.Willingness to work flexible hours as required.May train entry-level and developmental level personnel in all technical areasPay and Schedule:Pay-$20.81Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pmQualificationsRequirements:Mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools required.Strong attention to detailKnowledge and understanding of printing processes, including substratescharacteristics and limitations.Knowledge of basic color theory, color management, color spaces and ICCcolor helpful.Ability to read, write and interpret instructions, identify problems andmissing information.Good verbal communication and organizational skills.Must be familiar with PDF and PostScript.Experience with imposition helpful.Must be a team player working in a fast-paced environment.Able to give and follow written and verbal instructions.Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.Works well under the pressure of deadlines.Must have flexibility to learn and use new technologies.Excellent attendance record.Final responsibility to set counter for good productAble to conduct minor repairs and daily maintenance on assigned pressPhysical Demands:Work is conducted in a standing position and requires walking, bending,stooping, pulling, climbing and lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
