Observe safe handling of tools.Follow safety regulations when repairing or adjusting machinery.Maintain production/packaging equipment downtime report for manager.Adjust work schedule to support production requirements.Perform facility maintenance when appropriate.Interface with other department supervisors and managers as needed.Perform tooling inspection, cleaning, and repairs as needed.Fabricate parts and complete special projects as needed.Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic:Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.High school diploma or GED required.Positive completion of background search.Two or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment.Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, i.e. lift to 70lbs.Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavylifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time.Must be able to recognize audible hazards.Must show a proven track record of working independently and with a team.Must maintain good attendance.
