Vail Valley Jet Center GSE Mechanic in Gypsum, Colorado
To upkeep and maintain all Ground Service Equipment (GSE) for airport operations and sustain a high level of safety awareness at all times.
Maintain a constant presence in the shop via radio or phone
Maintain and upkeep all ground service equipment
Maintain and upkeep company vehicles
Monitor the Safety and Security of everyone and everything at all times
Must attend fire safety (VVJC will provide this training)
Order and maintain all shop inventories
Perform monthly inspections on all Vail Valley Jet Center equipment
Report all broken, unsafe or damaged items or areas found. Take immediate action to remedy the situation to the best of your ability and notify appropriate parties.
Update and input inspection records
Adhere to monthly checklists, comply with assigned work
Empty trash containers when needed
Keep fuel trucks and equipment clean
Upkeep and clean shop and shop floors
Assist with Facilities Maintenance when needed
Assist with Fuel Farm when needed
Maintain regular and punctual onsite attendance.
Work together with other employees as a team.

Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge of the forklift, tractors and maintenance truck operations
Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security ID badge
Professionalism must always be maintained
