Job Summary:

The primary role of the Shift Supervisor to provide supervision of lead recovery support specialists and recovery support specialists during shift hours, while concurrently providing support services to male and female clients. The three main functions of the Shift Supervisor are to:

  • Oversee all staff, ensuring they are completing all objectives.

  • Be a liaison for leadership to the Housing Manager.

  • Make non-emergent judgment calls and be responsible for shift operations.

Housing operations are performed in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures; the Shift Supervisor is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in all duties. Work is reviewed and supervised by the Housing Manager.

Reports to: Housing Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees all aspects of shift operation.

  • Ensures that all clients? needs are satisfied.

  • Maintains awareness of all client activities and should be cognizant of client whereabouts at all times.

  • Conducts and/or attends all mandatory trainings and in-house meetings.

  • Maintains order and ensures compliance with the program structure; ensures that both staff and residents conduct themselves in an orderly manner when on the property or in program vehicles.

  • Oversees that the clients are monitored for signs of distress and/or behavioral concerns.

  • Provides appropriate support and structure for residents in dealing with their recovery; interacts consistently with clients as well as follows up with staff to ensure appropriate care.

  • Enforces the program structure at all times.

  • Performs room inspections and enforces consequences for failed rooms.

  • Oversees room and person searches; perform UAs when necessary.

  • Responds appropriately to all medical and other emergencies.

  • Operating company vehicles in an appropriate manner. Performs regular inspections of the fleet.

  • Bring issues to the attention of the Housing Manager; confiscates and secures all contraband, take appropriate action.

  • Performs other duties as assigned per the Housing Manager.

Recovery Requirement: 2+ years in recovery
