Team Members will ensure a clean, safe workingenvironment and complete daily and routine maintenance on their machines.Welders will troubleshoot and problem solve on a daily basis, be a teamplayer, perform quality work, be available until work is done, haveknowledge of welding terminology and welding defects and know and understandthe policies, procedures and processes of EMIT.Key responsibilities include:- Weld in flat, vertical or overhead positions- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts to obtainrequired configurations and positions for welding- Maintain and inspect equipment regularly- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifysupervisors- Monitor the fitting and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts orwarping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material- Examine work pieces for defects- Measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformancewith specifications according to given blueprints- Recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the weldingtrade, including but not limited to: GMAW, FCAW, TIG, grinders,drills, pneumatic tools, plasma torches and oxyacetylene torches- Lift/Push/Pull heavy loads and assist with part assembly on large equipment- Read technical drawings in both 2D and 3D versions- Handle various projects and other duties, as assigned, to meetbusiness needsWork Conditions- Team Member is subject to both environmental conditions: Activitiesoccur inside and outside- Team Member is subject to extreme heat; temperature of 100 degrees forperiods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect ofother environmental conditions such as wind or humidity- Team Member is subject to extreme cold: temperatures typically below 32degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given tothe effect of other environmental condition such as wind and humidity- Team Member is subject to noise and must wear hearing protection. There issufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above theambient noise level- Team Member is subject to hazards including: moving parts, machinesand vehicles- Team member is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of thefollowing conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin:fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.Required Skills- Ability to interact effectively with the Team, foster teamwork anddemonstrate professionalism- Possess exceptional accuracy and attention to detail- Must be punctual and flexible regarding work hours and shifts- Ability to identify and prioritize tasks- Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision- Ability to follow schedules and instructions from Managers to work at th
