Under the supervision of the Retail Store Operations Manager, the employeewill operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer locations toperform in-field machinery diagnostics and repairs, in an efficient andcost-effective manner. These repairs will consist of, but are not limitedto, complete component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning,following prescribed procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic and mechanicalproblems, utilizing all available resources, in order to select the mostcost effective solution for the customer. Perform complex repairs and rebuild new/used equipment,either at the customer's location, or if necessary, at the retail store shop Perform in-field preventative maintenance inspections andservices. Serve as an in-field representative for the dealership to provideservice solutions and enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipmentsold within the dealership's area of responsibility. Identify and communicate solutions for customer serviceopportunities in the dealership's area of responsibility. Research and utilize service/parts documentation. Work with Retail Store Operations Manager to create quotesand schedule service appointments. Document machine information and repairs completed on workorder, including parts and fluids used. Train and mentor entry-level technicians. Provide technical assistance to Field Support Representatives andTerritory Managers in solving product performance issues. Participate in weekend on-call rotation in accordance with the "RetailStore Emergency Service On-Call Program". Assist Parts and sales departments, when requested. Maintain service truck in clean and safe condition,including tooling, power equipment, and crane. Maintain fuel and maintenance records for service truck. Keep work area in a clean and orderly fashion and conform toall quality and safety procedures. Maintain a positive and professional working relationshipwith customers, peers, management, and support resources, with aconstant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.The individual must have a high school diploma or GED. A vocational diploma inagricultural or automotive mechanics and a minimum of two years mechanicaltechnician job experience or a minimum of four years of mechanical technicianjob experience in the areas of mechanics/repair, trouble shooting,electricity, hydraulics, machining, fabrication, welding, PTOdriveline, torch cutting and air arc is preferred. Ability to use andunderstand voltmeters and hydraulic flow/pressure meters is also preferred.
