Industrial Electrician

  • Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to perform safety evaluations of tasks being performed and ensure compliance of all company and industry safety regulations.

  • Advance computer experience including Xcel & Word Extensive experience with Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) programming architecture, configuration, and system requirements.

  • Experience working in an automated manufacturing environment. Ability and experience in the rigging, moving and setting of very heavy systems and components safely

  • Ability to plan, schedule in detail and execute major system repairs efficiently and effectively in the instrumentation and electrical environment.

  • Ability to self-direct work to complete project within defined time frame Knowledge of machine repair, electrical and instrumentation systems and /or complex system operation & maintenance

  • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

Position Specific Title and Responsibilities

  • Perform complex troubleshooting activates on facility and or manufacturing systems Advance knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) operation and basic programming in a manufacturing environment

  • Perform PLC repairs up to and including I/O card replacement with minimal engineering support.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical; power & control systems

  • Perform calibration & repairs of pH sensors, pressure, temperature and flow transmitters Develop preventative maintenance tasks and calibration procedures on company documentation system.

  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks of manufacturing and facility systems without oversight or supervision

  • Be able to supervise and provide direction to teams in the execution of projects and major repairs to equipment

  • Operate company CMMS system to perform work orders and PM’s. Ability to navigate Building Management Systems (BMS) system to operate and quickly understand system issues

  • Perform alarm response to production and facility equipment through BMS and PLC system Advance understanding of construction drawings & system schematics, piping & instrumentation diagrams, system technical information such as ladder diagrams and programming logic

  • Good understanding of the construction process from design, submittal review, construction and asbuilts

  • Understanding of predictive maintenance methodology and predictive maintenance analytics in a facility and manufacturing environment

  • Must be able to be on call as the schedule dictates

Position Specific Physical Requirements (Optional):

  • The ability to lift 40 lb.

  • Ability to work from ladders when performing maintenance tasks.

  • This position, due to the size of the building will require lots of walking.
