Job Title: Industrial Electrician IEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis is a skilled labor position working to install, repair and maintainelectrical equipment in and around the plant. The essential duties andresponsibilities include the following: Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair all electrical equipment and motors. Design and install new electrical systems and system modifications. . Check and calibrate process control instrumentation throughout the plant. Annual inspection and cleaning of motor control centers and electricalswitchgear. Make adjustments to electrical parts of equipment and control systemswhere needed. Coordinate with outside contractors on electrical projects. Program and install Allen Bradley and other programmable logic controllers. Follow NFPA 70E electrical safety in the workplace standards. Comprehend and understand electrical schematics and blueprints. Always uses safe work practices, follow all safety rules andprocedures, immediately report any hazardous conditions, and fullyparticipate in safety programs. Perform safety observations and complete training assignments. Wears all personal protective equipment as required by management,including but not limited to all or some of the following; protectiveshoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust maskor respirato Responsible for operating in conformance with the ISO certification heldby the Fruita facility. Regular attendance is required. Train and assist entry level electricians to follow electrical safe workpractices. Assist entry level electricians with electrical theory and troubleshooting. Supervisory Responsibilities. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.Education and/or Experience and Skills Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college ortechnical school; or completion of an Industrial Electrician Program from aqualified technical school. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees oforganization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to computerate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety ofvariables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
