SiteWise Corporation Equipment Operator-Utility Install (CDL-A preferred) in Frederick, Colorado

SiteWise LLC, a Colorado owned and operated utility contractor, has provided turnkey construction and engineering services since 1987. These services include a wide variety of distribution/mainline construction, gas operations and maintenance, and meter/system interface services. SiteWise service offerings are enhanced by additional departments dedicated to utility locating, hydro excavation, subsurface utility engineering and route mapping.

The Mini Excavator Operator is the machine operator who acts as the crew leader, responsible for placing utilities into residential homes, multi-family units, small commercial units and/or repairing main line utilities. This position has a wide variety of responsibilities and has the ability to handle sudden changes in the day. This person is also a support and mentor to the entire crew working alongside them day to day and naturally follows the core values of SiteWise.

*We have Operator positions available at both our Frederick and Fort Collins job yards.

•Backhoe/Mini Excavator Operator and crew leader, responsible for placing utilities to new residential homes, multi-family units and small commercial units OR trenching around underground locates.

•Trench or backhoe jobs must meet all required company and customer specifications.

•Drives truck/trailer to haul equipment.

•Follows specifications for the job and company policies.

•Complies with safety procedures while driving and at job site.

•Exposes underground facilities manually, as needed.

•Oversee laborers and/or crew member's work and monitor time usage.

•Conduct post-job quality checks.

•Clean, check fluid levels and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required paperwork.

•Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required paperwork.

•Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work.

•At end of work day, truck and equipment should be returned to shop and secured

•Maintain valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A preferred)

•Maintain good Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

•Working knowledge of DOT regulations(Vehicle AND Operator Qualifications)

•Ability to read prints and Underground Facility Location Sketch

•Knowledge of installation of gas, electric, phone and CATV lines to buildings

•Understanding of client and company work specifications

•Ability to comply with the "Operator's Manual" for your particular equipment

•Self-motivated, safety, quality and production minded

•Ability to read and comprehend and follow all quality/safety policies and procedures

•Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
