Maintenance ManagerFort Morgan, ColoradoPlan, direct, and control the efforts of the Maintenance Department tomaintain and support plant equipment and facilities in world class workingordeUnderstand and support safety as the first priorityEnsure compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federalregulationsEnsure the following facility programs are followed: Safety, FoodSafety, GMP, Preventive Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and SanitationCoordinate and communicate the hiring of maintenance personnel and lead peoplefor the completion of proposed maintenance and support the production scheduleIs accountable for the preventive maintenance program and maintenance ofproduction equipment and facilitiesDevelop, maintain, and administer an organization qualified to maintainall equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition.Execute an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduleddown timeMaintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition. Schedule neededrepair to have minimum interference with production activitiesEnsure that production equipment is capable of producing within thespecifications and tolerances established by the equipment vendor/manufacturerProvide leadership and direction for activities of maintenance techniciansengaged in the maintenance, electrical, and mechanical operationsOrganize work from work orders, estimate worker-hour requirements, anddelegate work to employees in maintenance departmentMaintain contacts with vendors to requisition materials and supplies fordepartment and monitor a sufficient inventoryDevelop, schedule, and control a preventative maintenance program tomaintain production machinery and equipment in proper working conditionInspect jobs in process and at completion to ensure that standards ofworkman-ship and safety are maintainedPossess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to transmit that sense ofurgency to the maintenance technicians in a constructive fashionMaintain inventories of maintenance materials, supplies, and repair partsat required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodicallyreview inventory for proper up keep at plant facilitiesRecommend and plan equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/orachieve cost reductionPlay a vital support function in management and execution of a site's CAPEXprojectsWork closely with the production group to coordinate work. Continually lookfor avenues to improve communication between the production and maintenancegroupsBe an active member of the safety committee and actively promote all plantsafety initiativesConsult with Engineering staff, Plant Manager, and the ProductionDepartment regarding desirable modifications of existing equipment andfacilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which willimprove operations and reduce maintenance costsCoordinate the efficient operation of all facilities necessary to thedistribution and usage of electric power, natural gas, and waterAnalyze cost studies of proposals for new equipment in the department designedto secure reduced operating costs. Make recommendations to the Plant ManagerDevelop objectives and standards of performance for projects within theMaintenance Department required to meet departmental, divisional, andcorporate goals and objectivesPlan and provide for an adequate supply and ensure control over spare partsand maintenance supplies. Control labor cost within departmentRequire and support all GMP rules in the plant with his staffSupport and lead staff in a professional manner to include yearlyevaluations, attendance, vacations, and all disciplinary reviewsAttend required training, including but not limited to, GMP's,HAACP, SQF, Safety, etc.Implement CI Programs including Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Leader Standard WorkFollow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate andregulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe t
