Foremensupervise and coordinate the activities of crew leaders and craftprofessionals to complete a project that represents quality work that isaccident free, on time, within scope and budget. The requirements listedbelow are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability.ResponsibilitiesConsistently leads and motivates crew leaders and co-workers with positiveinfluence that enables the team to contribute towards the effectiveness ofachieving goals and project successEnsures all resources are being effectively utilized to execute the projectsuccessfullyEnsures that work is planned out for the crews prior to workday and obstaclesare removedControls nonproductive timeTracks time and quantities correctlyMaintains the Company's toolsConduct good daily huddlesAble to read and understand a CPM scheduleAssists in managing subcontractors and coordinates work with other tradesCoordinates deliveries with vendors, suppliers, to trucking companiesCoordinates and efficiently manages rental equipmentCompletes detailed daily logsPlans for and utilizes prefabricationResponsible and dedicated to keeping the crews safe by setting the safety tonethrough active participation and involvement in the Interstates behavior-basedsafety programRecognizes the value of employee advancement by working with crews to achievetheir full potential.Plans work activities at 2-3 weeks in advance so materials and resources areavailable to perform installation efficientlyAssist team leaders with 3-5 day look aheadsRecognizes work beyond planned scopeGood computer knowledgeOther duties may be assignedQualificationsLEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Capable of leading electrical construction crewof various experience levels.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Achieved a high-school-level diploma or GED.Advance level of education in construction management or electrical technicaleducation is preferred; or an equivalent amount of on the job leadershipexperience (5+ years) in the electrical construction field.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to rate information using personal judgement orstandards that can be measured or checked.
