Job Location: Ft. Carson, CO

Job Description: The Field Service Representative (FSR) provides technical support and customer solutions for the HMPT Transmission and the AVDS-1790 engine. This is a full time position located at Ft Carson, Colorado.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to provide hands-on troubleshooting/maintenance and vehicle integration support for L3Harris CPS HMPT and AVDS product lines, specificially hardware deficiencies found during product test and in adverse environments

  • Support field testing as required by CPS or the Customer

  • Periodic travel from the site to CONUS military installations and L3Harris CPS, Muskegon, MI for periods up to 30 days or longer on occasion. Travel will be via company vehicle or air depending on the situation.

  • Provide individual product incident and retrofit reports and other weekly reports in a timely manner

  • Provide input to Technical Publications (Repair and Parts manuals) and failure analysis report


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

  • Must reside within a daily commutable distance of the work site.

  • Previous experience in hands-on repair & testing of power train components.

  • Experience maintaining tracked military vehicles

  • Strong communication skills to diplomatically commicate with customer and L3Harris personnel and maintain composure, especially in stressful situations.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow all safety rules at all times, including personal, work space, and company provided equipment, specifically since this position is located at a customer site.

  • Must be able to pass a security background check and obtain a Controlled Access Card (CAC).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required

  • Vehicle access capability required. Must be able to meet the anthropometric requirements for combat vehicle ingress and egress.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Hands –on experience maintaining the HMPT transmission preferred

  • Hands –on experience maintaining the AVDS 1790 Engine preferred

  • Tracked vehicle knowledge and maintenance experience preferred.
