Holcim (US) Inc. Maintenance Supervisor in Florence, Colorado
PURPOSEThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible of all mechanical maintenance activities at the cement plant. A team of technicians report to the Maintenance Supervisor. They are also responsible for ensuring maintenance work iscompleted is a safe, efficient and timely manner and in compliance with environmental requirements.
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all workenvironments and areas.
Organize, schedule, and oversee daily preventive/repair maintenance activities.
Supervise, train, and develop mechanical maintenance staff to achieve the department goals in a manner tocreate employee ownership; create bench strength and succession plans.
Complete records, forms, and other paperwork associated with maintenance activities: including SAP timeentry, notifications, orders, etc.
Evaluate and resolve problems affecting overall equipment efficiency.
Recommend, initiate and approve requisitions, PM orders and other associated SAP transactions to obtainrequired contractor services, equipment, and supplies.
Assist in preparing recommendations for capital expenditures.
Interface with procurement to ensure that all supplies, parts, and materials are available when required.
Assist in preparing annual maintenance budget and staying within that budget.
Ensure that employees observe safe work practices and perform work assignments within MSHA andcompany safety guidelines.
Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained.
Coordinate maintenance work with other departments to enhance overall equipment efficiency and maximum production.
Other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
Assist production department with mechanical problems
Work with maintenance coordinator to execute preventive and predictive maintenance program
Work with system engineer in improving the plant reliability
Assist maintenance manager in the development of the maintenance budget and the tracking of expenses
Provide assistance in the mechanical design and execution of plant capital projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESRequired Education:Associates/Technical DegreeAdditional Education Preferred:Bachelor's/Undergraduate DegreeField of Study Preferred:Industrial MaintenanceRequired Work Experience:5 years heavy industry electrical & instrumentation experience. Prior cement experience is helpful.Required Computer and Software Skills:Comprehensive computer software knowledge required, includingExcel, Word, Project, Auto CAD, SAP, etc. is preferred.Travel Requirements:MinimalAdditional Requirements:
