Air Methods Manufacturing Quality Manager- Englewood, CO (United Rotorcraft) in Englewood, Colorado
Manage and coordinate all manufacturing quality assurance and quality control activities. Serve as the PMA Accountable Manager and primary representative of United Rotorcraft to the FAA-MIDO. Serve as ISO9001/AS9100 Management Representative.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Serve as the ISO9001/AS9100 Management Representative for the United Rotorcraft division
Develop and conduct quality systems training, such as ISO9001/AS9100 Awareness training, PMA compliance training, internal auditor training, etc. as required
Serves as the PMA Accountable Manager and is the primary contact with the FAA-MIDO office for all FAA-related communications pertaining to PMA manufacturing, including reporting of failures, malfunctions, and defects as required by 14 CFR Part 21 § 21.3
Ensures compliance with required quality systems requirements, including ISO9001/AS9100 standards and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations as it relates to the Part 21-Parts Manufacturing Approval and the approved FAA Production Quality Manual
Ensures adequacy, compliance, and appropriate distribution of the FAA Production Quality Manual and applicable Quality Control Systems manuals and procedures
Ensures that all PMA approved parts meet type design and are manufactured in accordance with applicable engineering drawings and specifications; ensures all documentation of completed work orders and inspection documents complies with current record retention and retrieval requirements (e.g. 14 CFR and FAA Production Quality Manual)
Manages/facilitates all external quality audits, including AS9100, FAA-MIDO, DCMA, customer, etc.
Establishes and facilitates internal audits of manufacturing processes to ensure continued compliance to applicable regulatory and organizational requirements
Update and maintain existing quality system documentation to meet additional requirements; develop new process flows and documentation for new processes identified as needed
Act as resource as necessary on preparation and revision of procedures and work instructions
Manage the Continuous Improvement processes, including all CAPA projects, working with process owners as necessary to complete required root cause analysis activities and corrective action plans
Responsible to ensure that United Rotorcraft Supplier Quality Management processes and suppliers comply with all applicable regulations, standards, and customer requirements
Assist management with quality and performance data analysis, including the development of QCD metrics for manufacturing; works with QA team to monitor manufacturing supplier performance
Coordinate, plan, prepare, monitor, and forecast budget(s) for area(s) of responsibility
Define and develop department resource requirements, including staffing, software, computers, etc., requirements and communicate to Sr. Director of Safety & Quality
Assist leadership as needed with division communications, meetings, special assignments, and activities associated with Quality Systems
Work with customer quality representatives as needed to ensure United Rotorcraft meets customer quality requirements (e.g. Elite Supplier programs)

Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a management, technical or related field from a four-year college or university and 7+ years quality systems management related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Demonstrated experience in Quality Systems, including, but not limited to, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, quality data collection & analysis, quality control, equipment calibration, supplier quality management, and other quality assurance processes and techniques
· Demonstrated experience in internal/external auditing and registration/certification management
· Experience as a FAA accountable manager, designee, and/or management representative for organizational quality strongly preferred
· Experience with ISO9100 or AS9100 strongly preferred
· Manages fluctuating priorities based on unforeseen process and resource challenges, defined projects, and leadership prerogative
· Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlines
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
· Strong technical writing skills, understanding of process flow development, conflict resolution skills, and understanding of industry quality standards
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint and Outlook
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
· ASQ-CQA and/or ASQ-CMQ/OE (or similar certification) preferred
· Six Sigma Quality Certification preferred
Hiring Salary Range: $89,000.00- $113,462.50
