D.R. Horton, Inc. Field Verification Manager in Englewood, Colorado

D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for a_Field Verification Manager_. The right candidate will manage field operations, subcontractors, vendors and trades during the process of gathering costs, estimating and verifying takeoffs. Establish procedures to review and confirm correct budgets per plan in the division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage the verification process in the field with all vendors and trades associated with material takeoffs • Review, negotiate and verify the legitimacy of EPO’s • Download and review system takeoffs from JDE, verify delivery quantity, the quantity used in the home and discarded waste. Generate corrections as needed • Review, resolve and communicate any takeoff issues with D.R. Horton’s architects, estimating staff, and purchasing staff to ensure all takeoffs are updated and accurate in the operating system • Develop and train framing vendors in the proper framing methods and techniques to ensure efficient use of the materials estimated for the job • Review and verify cycle times of homes to HIP and CSMe • Ensure proper variance codes are assigned to EPO’s by builders, train as necessary • Manage value engineering efforts between the office, truss and lumber suppliers • Verify cabinet layouts and floor break sections to follow through with correct information transferred to the plans and detail sheets • Manage the creation of the detail sheets and photo library of best practices for assembly methods • Ensure all appropriate credits are processed and train field personnel in the procedure for obtaining the credits • Review subdivision charges for proper variance codes and cost code assignment • Review area figures created in each community for accuracy • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company • Possess valid driver’s license • Ability to travel overnight • Analyze plans for new construction to eliminate future errors and cost reductions • Produce and review variance reports • Participate in division meetings providing data to the purchasing and construction teams for adjustments and corrections • Identify trends pertaining to EPO’s for patterns and reduction of costs

Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications. * Proficiency with MS Office and email. * Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision. * The noise level is generally moderate. Preferred Qualifications * Three to five years construction experience * Working knowledge in JDE preferred
