Electrician / Dining Facility (DFAC) Maintenance Technician
Electrician / Maintenance Technician is required to perform routine and emergency maintenance for all freezer and refrigeration units, as well as all Dining Facility (DFAC) equipment/appliances. Preventive and routine maintenance must be performed in accordance with manufacturer’s maintenance service instructions and recommendations. Preventive Maintenance encompasses the tasks necessary to prevent the premature failure of equipment and includes routine checks of all equipment, lubricating, greasing and oiling equipment parts/components on a regular basis, and the maintenance of equipment logs. Furthermore, the Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform Hood and Duct Cleaning.
The full-time position shall provide services 12 hours per day, 6 days per week. Additional hours in excess of 72 hours may be required.
Must possess an interim secret clearance or an active secret clearance
Must have experience performing in a contingency environment
Experience in managing Other Country Nationals
At least 5 years’ experience working on small appliances related to DFACs in a deployment setting.
Must possess applicable license, certification or diploma showing capability to perform appliance repair on the various DFAC equipment.
Applicable licenses include the following;
1.Must be a Licensed Electrician. Experienced in both NEC & British Standard BS 7671
2.EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification required
3.Certified Appliance Professional required
4.Licensed HVAC Tech a plus
5.DFAC equipment hood and duct certificate required
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
