DescriptionJob SummaryResponsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, andalterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned inaccordance with Air Methods' policies and procedures. Ensures companyoperational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraftmaintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable FederalAviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicablemaintenance manuals.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance withmaintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins,service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation RegulationsUpon installation or removal of any component or assembly, the Mechanicshall verify by physical inspection or markings on the part that the partnumber and serial number match the associated documentationEnsures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance withapplicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures,and applicable maintenance manuals to include specific chaptersActively participates in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of thecompany's Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMSpolicies, processes, and proceduresMaintains work area in a clean and professional mannerOther Duties as assigned135 SpecificResponsible for correcting compliance or safety issues when directed by theDirector of Operations, Director of Maintenance, Chief Pilot, RegionalMaintenance Director, Director of Safety, Regional Maintenance Manager,or Lead MechanicPerforms maintenance on 145 shop's support equipmentResponsible for advising the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenanceissues that would take an aircraft out of serviceResponsible for validating or confirming the data in the Status Reportconcerning the aircraft he or she is working on includingRequest aviation parts and supplies in order to maintain an adequate andorderly inventory of all stock items to ensure prompt repairs for operationalreadiness Additional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling: Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendanceis an essential function of the position. All employees must follow AirMethods' employment practices and policies. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential function satisfactorily. Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 to 5 years'related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educationand experienceFactory airframe/power plant schools preferredFAR 135 operations preferredSkillsElectrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancingSheet metal and composite repair proceduresAbility to read and understand various documents such as 337's, ServiceBulletins, AD's, etc.Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environmentAbility to be a team player with a professional attitudeAbility to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-callrotation
