AECOM is looking for a Transportation Construction Inspector to be based in our Denver, Colorado office.

The job responsibilities include:

  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activities.

  • Duties may differ depending on the specialty area.

  • Activities may include inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation; assisting with the building, repair, or maintenance of a structure or roadway.

  • Relies on general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish moderate goals.

  • Works under direct supervision.

  • Performs assignments of varying scope and complexity. Uses a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques in solving problems. Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations

  • State DOT and inspection or construction experience

  • Good active written and verbal communication with construction personnel and engineers

  • Ability to perform basic computations and calculations

  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications

  • Valid Driver's license, with good driving record

  • Adheres to client requirements for project administration, AECOM methods, AECOM Safety requirements, and AECOM Quality requirements.

Additional comments:

  • Weekend and night work may be required

  • Overnight travel within the state may be required

Minimum Requirements

HS + 2 years of transportation construction or other civil project experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of transportation construction or other heavy civil inspection experience

  • Experience supporting CDOT projects

  • ACI or ICC certifications
