POSITION SUMMARY:Fulltime support person for processing cured-in-place (CIPP) tube in aplant setting. The CIPP tube is used in the cured-in-place (CIPP) methodof pipeline repair. Related experience preferred but training will beprovided. The wetout technician work will work for and take direction from theWetout Supervisor/Superintendent which may include:Manual labor tasks (lifting, carrying, dragging or pulling material, etc.)Use of hand toolsEquipment driving and operationWorking with a team to complete the material processingAttention to detail during processingSafety minded and good housekeeping work habitsThe wetout technician position requires good work ethic and the ability tounderstand and follow directions.PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be able to understand and follow the Company's operating procedures andsafety policiesMust take and be able to understand instructions from the wetout supervisorMust perform tasks in a safe and quality mannerMust accept responsibility delegated by the supervisor for company propertyand equipmentMust maintain and operate that equipment in a clean, safe and mechanicallysound conditionMust possess a positive attitude and be able to work with a wetout teamJOB SPECIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):Must understand and speak fluent EnglishMust be able to understand and follow instructions in the performance of therequired tasks in conformance with the Company's policies and proceduresOperator's License with a driving record consistent with the Company'srequirements is required; CDL or ability to obtain CDL is desiredMust maintain required certificationsMust pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and adhere to Company'spolicy regarding suchMust work in a manner that will not jeopardize the health and safety ofhim/herself, other employees or the general publicWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements:Must be able to work with resin and chemicals associated with the installationof cured-in-place liners; a listing and MSDS are available.Must be able to stand much of the day and walk on uneven groundMust be able to use proper lifting technique to periodically lift a minimum of50 pounds and carry it for a minimum of 50 feet; Must be able toperiodically direct lift up to 100 poundsMust be able to use proper lifting technique to periodically lift 20 to 40pounds overheadMust be able to bend and turn at the waist as well as squatMust be able to complete a pulling action similar to pulling heavy rope from ahole in the ground.Must be able to walk and drag material (CIPP tube)Must be able to safely utilize cutting devices including hand saws and razorknivesMust be able to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc)Must be able to work overtime when requiredThe CompanyLayne Inliner, LLC is the second largest pipeline rehabilitation company inthe United States utilizing CIPP (cured-in-place pipe).
