Are you capable problem solving and generatingcreative solutions?Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to providecoordination, planning, and supervision to assistant superintendents,contractors, and craft activities in a particular area of discipline. Youwill develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellentservice. Your ability toremain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high levelof integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success.ResponsibilitiesWhat will you be doing?Organization, flexibility, excellent customer focus, and strongcommunication are critical in performing duties which include, but are notlimited to:Planning and implementation to ensure all materials, equipment, andinspections support the project scheduleReview construction documents for completeness and constructabilityReview and understand contract documentsCoordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolvingdiscrepanciesParticipate in the development and management of a project schedule to includethree and six week look ahead schedulesDevelop a site logistics planHandle the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipmentCollaborate with project partner superintendentsCoaching, supervisory, and development responsibilitiesConduct on-site project orientationsConduct effective pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetingsSupervise project partners, craft foremen, and crewsResponsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performanceevaluation of Assistant Superintendent(s), General Foremen, and ForemenInterview, hire, transfer, and if needed, terminate craft workersEnsure proper task coding of work hours on time cardsManage and track work progress and craft productivityLead craft team member training, ensuring they are current prior to startingtaskConduct career development discussions with foremen and craft team membersOther duties as assigned, including:Provide high level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliancefor the project and team membersRecognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditionsFind opportunities to improve processes and proceduresQualificationsHow will you succeed?Minimum ten years construction experience with four of those years havingsupervisory experienceCurrent driver's licenseDemonstrate ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complexprojectsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally acceptedbusiness practicesMicrosoft Office skills at an intermediate levelPositive professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesEducation:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, orArchitectural Engineering or Construction Management, or 10 years tradeexperieMortenson is an EOE/Aff
