Brekhus Marble and Granite Stone Fabricator in Denver, Colorado

The Lead Fabricator can polish, edge, and finish stone products accordingto Brekhus quality standards.Job Duties Fabrication of custom stone profiles: shape, trim, or touch uproughed-out design with appropriate tools to finish the product and can drillor cut into stone; verifying depths and dimension of cuts and finishes. Verify depths and dimensions of cuts or carvings to ensure adherence tospecifications, blueprints, or models, using measuring instruments. Guide nozzles over stone, following stencil outlines, or chip alongmarks to create designs or to work surfaces down to specified finishes. Maintain production in accordance with the design specifications,time/completion schedules, quality standards, and employee safety. Reface and repair stone. Attend and participate in schedule meetings and/or trainings asrequired by management. Adhere to all Company Safety and Health rules, Employee Handbook,and OSHA regulations while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Shape, trim, or touch up roughed-out designs with appropriate toolsto finish carvings Other related duties as required and assigned by management.Skills and Qualifications 10 or more years of experience fabricating natural stone countertops,wall panels, tabletops, vanities, fireplaces, etc. Extensive knowledge and experience with hand and power tools for stonefabrication. Knowledge on stone material Handling General knowledge of natural stones, such as granite, marble,quartz, quartzite, travertine, limestone, etc. Ability to follow all safety procedures. Such as wearing proper PPE,safe tool and chemical substances handling, reduction of silica dust in thework environment, any other required per state and federal laws. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability tocommunicate with clients and employees both verbally and written in theEnglish language. Ability to perform all types of edge work on stone; hone and refinishpolished faces. Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings; cut or shapestone according to drawings and/or templates. Ability to perform basic and complex geometric and algebraicmathematical computations. It also requires the ability to apply concepts suchas fractions, percentages, bar graphs, ratios and proportions to complexand practical situations. General and practical knowledge of measuring tools, power tools, andequipment utilized in the tile and stone industry. Willingness to adapt to and accept constructive feedback and implementnecessary corrections in a timely manner. Ability to push, pull, and carry materials 50-100 lbs. and prolongedstanding.
