Quality Control Associate

Temp to hire

$20.00-$22.00 per hour

This position will start around 03/15/2021

  • Laboratory testing of raw materials.

  • Review and inspection of incoming materials for compliance to company written specifications, as indicated with minimal operator error.

  • Coordination and solution preparations for raw material qualifications.

  • Troubleshoot out of specification results.

  • Laboratory testing of intermediate or in process components with minimal operator error

  • Assist manufacturing with the production of kits by coordinating in-process testing with production needs.

  • Understanding company communication mechanisms for prioritizing and scheduling.

  • Laboratory testing associated with finished product kit releases with minimal operator error.

  • Assist manufacturing with the production of kits by coordinating final product testing with production needs.

  • Understanding company communication mechanisms for prioritizing and scheduling.

  • Ensuring the laboratory is prepared to perform required testing, including bulk wash preparation, adequate sampling of reagents, and equipment is available and functioning.

  • Demonstrating competency and understanding of test method purposes, specification review and contribution to product quality.

  • Statistical analysis and review of QC testing data.

  • Develop or modify test methods as appropriate for production needs.

  • Demonstrating competency and understanding of excel spreadsheet functions and control chart utility.

  • Develop or modify excel spreadsheets as appropriate for production needs.

  • Completing test method documentation with minimal operator error.

  • Performing thorough review of entries prior to submission to supervisor review.

  • Completing nonconformance reports and performing investigations as required for operator errors.

  • Suggesting and implementing corrective actions.

  • Initiating, supporting, implementation of CAPAs, process and continual improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrating competency for use of company document control and processes database systems such as QCBD and EinfoTree.

  • Proper laboratory equipment use, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment tracking.

  • Understanding of the company Metrology and Equipment programs and requirements, including completion of required logs and documentation as needed.

  • Testing associated with equipment installation qualification (IQ), operational qualifications (OQ) and performance qualification (PQ).

  • Performing temperature monitoring of critical reagent storage.

  • Perform risk assessment of temperature specification excursions and develop and implement corrective actions.

  • Administration of and testing required for the Stability Program.

  • Administration of and testing for serum/plasma panels

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science field is preferred.

  • Previous 2-3 years laboratory experience in a relevant field is required.

  • Working knowledge of ELISA, bacterial growth, environmental monitoring, equipment calibration and maintenance, validation.

A candidate may be considered without a bachelor’s degree, but must have relevant experience.
