Must be committed to working hard to meet the needs and expectations ofour employees and customers. Requires High School degree or GED. Requires three to five years of supervision experience evaluatingperformance and motivating employees within a manufacturing environment. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills as these are critical tosuccess in any supervisory position. Must have the ability to evaluate the effects of planning, staffing,and scheduling commitments on the overall workflow and load of the department. Requires intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills and the ability towork within an MRP (Oracle experience preferred, but not required). Must be adaptable to change and be able to work well under pressure. Requires the ability to oversee trouble shooting of processes andrecommend or make minor repairs to equipment when needed. Must understand the concepts of Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Flowas they relate to modern manufacturing Plating and heat treating experience preferred, but not required.Essential Duties Responsible for the enforcement of safety and compliance rules,regulations, and procedures in both Plating and Heat Treat. Accountable for hiring, training, and supervising all department employees. Responsible for conducting employee performance reviews andadministering the department's reward and performance management processes. Understand the department's delivery schedule and notifies appropriatestakeholders of potential deviations from the production plan and implementscorrective actions when required. Reviews and coordinates the most effective use of labor in thedepartments to accomplish specified department requirements. Supervises material handling operations that support the plating andheat treat departments. Works closely with supervisors from other areas to effectivelycoordinate interactions between departments. Monitors manufacturing equipment and coordinates maintenance and repairactivates when required. Orders and manages all departmental supplies to ensure appropriatelevels are maintained.Other Duties Assists in the handling of controlled spills and acts as emergencycoordinator when needed.Physical Environment and Working Conditions Standard shift is Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 4:00pm, butoccasional overtime, including weekends, may be required to meet customerrequi Must be physically able to occasionally work in a moderately hotenvironment. Must be able to work around and safely handle chemicals used in theplating and heat treat processes. Required to work in a factory environment where safety glasses aremandatory and where hearing protection may be required. Must be mentally alert to constant hazards of machinery and equipment.
