L3 ElectricianLocation: Service BuildingWork Year: Traditional 245 work days - AMLG/FMGR/GRND/PROTECHFTE: 1.0Salary Range: $30.84 - $33.63 per hourEssential Functions and Objectives:The Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, andelectrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.The essential functions of this position include:- Diagnoses, repairs, and replaces motor control circuits using schematicsand diagrams.- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines andequipment according to current electrical code standards.- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cablesand wires between machines and equipment.- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, andlighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine (e.g., relays,switches, and motors) - Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs majorsystems ( e.g., large switch gear) and minor systems (e.g.,electrical panels, boilers, HVAC, generators).- Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs major systems ( e.g., large switchgear) and minor systems (e.g., electrical panels, boilers, HVAC, generators).- Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis.- Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:- Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's license.- Valid State of Colorado Journeyman and/or Master Electrician license.- Ten (10) years' journeyman experience, including one (1) yearinternal experience- Ability to pass the Respirator Fit Test requirement, where the emplpyeemust demonstrate the ability to wear a propperly fitted respirator. This isrequired annually and upon hire during physical exam.- Must meet all requirements of L3 Electrician within the first year ofemployment.Education Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.
