Role synopsis:

The Facilities Manager will lead a team in the design, construction, and start-up of safe, fit-for-purpose, and capital efficient new well batteries. The incumbent will also support opex team needs for legacy batteries and serve as an interface with midstream counterparts to ensure takeaway capacity. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing construction, including bidding and scheduling, as well as management of all facility engineers, consulting technical personnel (when used), and field.

Key accountabilities:

  • Supervise, schedule and coordinate daily activities of subordinates and contract personnel

  • Provide training and tools to staff to ensure adherence to all applicable State and Federal policies

  • Support and mentor team to foster a culture focused on technical and commercial excellence

  • Operate within the framework of OMS and L48 Practices, ensuring engineering standards are met

  • Coordinate bidding procedures with internal purchasing and supply chain (PSCM) guidelines

  • Manage the cost cycle through design basis, AFE, execution, supplements, and invoice resolution

  • Review all battery designs with OPEX Team Leads with final sign off by VP of Eagle Ford BU

  • Recommend and oversee implementation of new technologies for maximizing battery efficiency

  • Tracking costs by reviewing and approving invoices, costs, price quotes.

  • Provide high level evaluation and risk analysis of infrastructure required for new opportunities or developments to VP

  • Maintain safe and environmentally friendly work place for staff and contractors

  • Ensure regulatory requirements are maintained

  • Develop and implement SIMOPS plans which drive efficiency while maintaining a safe and controlled work environment

  • Attend and facilitate completion and safety meetings to champion BP safety culture

  • Integrate facility team workflow with drilling/completions schedule to accelerate wedge production

Essential Education:

  • BS in Petroleum Engineering or other Engineering disciplines

Desirable criteria and qualifications:

  • Experience with midstream gathering design and optimization for oil, gas, and water

  • Experience with integration of data analytics into field facilities

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Oil &industry

  • Previous Supervisory / Management experience

  • Ensure a safety-focused culture while encouraging continuous improvement

  • Extensive background in mechanical and I&E design for wellsite facilities with proven ability to tailor designs for capital and operational efficiency

  • Experience with compression, pumping, and line design to debottleneck wellsite and gathering facilities

  • Experience managing construction schedules and CAPEX to meet commercial deliverables

  • Personal commitment and proactive approach to HSSE, including coaching and mentoring

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated by ability to influence and build networks (internal and external) to work across teams.

  • A willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of time to Eagle Ford field locations in order to fully understand and optimize operations

  • Skilled in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Able to learn company specific applications
