You will directlycontribute to ensuring all our gas products are ready for delivery and thatoperations are meeting the General Air Service and Supply Standard OperatingProcIf you're passionate about operations, production, being a part of agreat team, and live to work hard and have fun, we want to talk to you.Position Description:We're looking for a dynamic, high performing Cylinder Handler Technicianwho wants to learn and understand processes associated with production,repackaging gas, gas properties, and working with production equipment.The ideal candidate has a history working with his/her hands, enjoysfollowing policies and procedures, understands the importance of safety,and is motivated by hard work.Your Day-to-Day:Strategically sort empty compressed gas cylinders by typeMethodically inspect and maintain gas and liquid containersProperly bar code and label cylinders or tanksComplete leak testing for filled cylindersLoad, unload cylinders or tanks on vehicles and record type and quantity ofcylindersSafely operate a forklift; loading, unloading, and transportingBlast and paint cylinders according to requirements in designated areaEnsure protection caps are secured over valves and cylinders are labeledcorrectlyRemove valves and install reconditioned valves on cylindersDocument and follow all SOP for producing gas and liquid productUnderstand and learn FDA, DOT, GHS, OSHA, and HAZCOM requirementsStrategically organize and arrange product in the fill plant and our routetrucksHandling and/or moving gas and liquid containersAble to perform basic data entry for DOT manifestsAccurately document and track production needs and requirementsCommunicates with all stakeholders effectively ensures final quality of workMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Team:Desire to work hard and be punctualComfortable handling hazardous materialsBe able to stand on your feet 7 to 8 hours a day with lots of walking,twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, sittingand repetitive motionsFrequent lifting of 10-20lbs is required, may at times lift up to 75lbsReoccurring pushing/pulling 150lbsAbility to work indoor/outdoor with hot summer and cold winter conditionswhere high noise levels are possibleStrong track record of being safeAbility to perform repetitive work functions in a production environmentPassion to follow regulatory requirements and compliance proceduresBasic computer literacyAbility to work differentiated shiftsLegible handwritingEffectively communicate with fellow workersWork independently or as a teamEnergetic attitudeFriendly personalityTeam playerWhy General Air:Our employees tell us that people choose General Air Service and Supply,many times until retirement, because of the way they are treated.
