Industrial Constructors / Managers, Inc. Fabrication Shop Manager in Commerce City, Colorado

Seeking a Fabrication Shop Manager to join our team.Summary: Directs the fabrication processes by implementing plans andpolicies to achieve a finished product according to specification and withinbudget constraints by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Other duties may be assigned as referred by the project scope.Hires and assists in training of the Fabricators, Laborers, and Painters.Can Navigate Construction Documents and For Construction Drawings tocommunicate value added designs and determine if outsourcing is necessary orhow the fabrication shop would like to see the assemblies.Develop and Implement Quality Control procedures for the fabrication shop asrequired for jobs and minimum expectation of QC per company handbook.Maintain all necessary paperwork for QC programPerforms all fabrication and paint shop tasks as a Fabricator, Laborer,and Painter for the purpose of instruction and support.Implement and maintain a shop production schedule for the purposes of drivingwork and communicating both internally and externallyDirects shop foreman and shop personnel for priorities based off a drivenschedule.Setup and maintain vendors that are necessary for the Fabrication Shop to run(welding consumables, safety products, abrasives ect...)Schedules the maintenance and use of the fabrication and paint shop equipment.Promotes, adheres to, and monitors the company safety policies and practices.Reviews the productivity and verifies conformance of work piece tospecifications of the fabrication and paint shop work.Reviews and assists with all the shipments in and out of the yard to includetruck unloading and loading, writing delivery tickets and ensuring that allitems ship and arrive in an acceptable condition.Estimates and checks estimates for production times, staffing requirementsand related costs to provide information for management decisions.Maintains all the paperwork associated with the steel material inventory inthe yard and paint shop materials.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily and safely.
