DescriptionPlease Note: This position will work five 8-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. to3:30 p.m. with occasional overtime required. This position will office atour facility on West Colorado Avenue but will travel daily to our variousfacilities. Candidates must be insurable on our vehicle insurance policy.Candidates are eligible for benefits after 60 days of employment.Pay: $15 to $16 per hour DOEOBJECTIVE:To perform preventative maintenance and repairs, new construction, andtroubleshooting on Goodwill owned and controlled facilities to includeelectrical, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulics systems, painting, welding,and carpentry in order to support the mission of the organization.REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years knowledge of industrialmaintenance.OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCESDemonstrate ability to troubleshoot various building systems. Ability toutilize smart phone apps and CMMS (computerized maintenance managementsystem). Ability to use a variety of hand tools and maintenance equipment.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Mustqualify as an insurable driver for Discover Goodwill. Overtime, shift ortravel requirement: Occasional overtime; work varied schedule to includeweekends, evenings, and holidays.Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management staff, andpeers. Provide excellent customer service. Ability to work with persons withdisabling conditions. Must have strong work ethic, be a self-starter,problem-solver, and team player.Ability to understand and follow all Goodwill safety standards andguidelines, and to read, comprehend, and follow Goodwill EmployeeHandbook, departmental manuals, and all numbered or supplemental memorandums.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS (Essential Functions)GeneralPerform facility repairs associated with an industrial environment.Includes, but is not limited to, the following:Light bulb/ballast replacement and repair.Assist with multi-phase carpentry.Assist with electrical/electronics work as required.Painting as required.Regular filter changes and basic maintenance of HVAC systems.Assist with and perform preventative maintenance as required.Collect and deliver parts and tools to work areas.Clean up job site/work area(s).Trouble shooting various building systemsPerform QC checks throughout Discover Goodwill propertiesMaintain vehicle stock and toolsOther duties as assignedGoodwill is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to employing qualifiedindividuals including those with disabilities, protected veterans andmilitary spouses.Goodwill participates in E-Verify.
