$26.20 per hourCLICK HERE to view our Fleet Technician Job Preview VideoEntry-Level Fleet Technician (FT/Evenings/CDL A Permit Required)-5000644280706Position performs basic diagnostic and repair work, including scheduledpreventative maintenance, oil and filter changes, and necessary repairs toautomobiles, trucks (light, medium, and heavycommercial/DOT-regulated vehicles), vans and forklifts. Workingknowledge of air brake repairs is required. Position works with a high degreeof independence. This position requires that you have your own basic handtools diagnostic, ergonomic, and high-tech equipment will be provided. Dueto the scope and variety of Pepsi's fleet, our department includes avariety of positions and job opportunities, ranging from entry-level tomaster technicians. We provide extensive training and continuous education tobuild onto your current basic maintenance education. Position also requires anumber of physical movements including lifting, pinching, bending,reaching, climbing, and manipulating and handling objects.PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair and reassemble partsas necessary- Complete oil and filter changes- Take direction from senior technicians and supervisors- Computer-based diagnostics interface with modern truck interfaces- Basic computer use (email and web browser)- Adherence to DOT regulations- Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles- Answer road calls- Maintain vehicle records as required- Maintain and repair fleet equipment- Fill out all necessary documents- Maintain records such as daily check list (pre-trip inspection)-BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:- Must submit to a drug screen- 18 years or older 21 years or older if CDL Required- High School Diploma or GED- Pass the background check- Commercial Driver's License: CDL Permit or Class A CDL or ability toobtain Class A CDL [90 days] post-hire- Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without an accommodation)- Able to reach, lift, carry, push and pull (with or without an accommodation)- Able to speak English-HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:- Previous experience working under limited supervision (performing work onyour own, working remotely from direct supervisor)- Previous experience working outdoors (making road calls, responding tobreakdowns, working in outside parking lots)- Previous experience with shift work (being on-call, 24/7availability, 2nd/3rd shift work, flexible work weeks)- Previous experience using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, changingtires, small tools)- Basic understanding of preventative maintenance programs- Working knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems- Basic computer skills- Previous experience with preventative maintenance programs and activities(following schedules for oil changes, documentation of work completed,tracking miles and usage hours, identifying and repairing defects)- Working knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems- Knowledge of internal combustible engines- Formal schooling in technical industry (e.g., certification program,military training, technical/community college)Our Company will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminalhistories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Fair CreditReporting Act, and all other applicable laws, including but not limitedto, San Francisco Police Code Sections 4901-4919, commonly referred to asthe San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance; and Chapter XVII, Article 9 ofthe Los Angeles Municipal Code, commonly referred to as the Fair ChanceInitiative for Hiring Ordinance.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment withoutregard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genderidentity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Female / Minority / Disability/ Protected Veteran / Sexual Orientation / Gender IdentityIf you'd like more information about your EEO rights as an applicant underthe law, please download the avai
