Ent Credit Union Facilities Maintenance Technician Jr. - FACIL02702 in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Position Description:The primary responsibility of the position is to perform routine andpreventative maintenance at all facilities to include space planning, workstation alterations, and furniture moves. Additional responsibilities wouldinclude assisting all other positions in the troubleshooting, diagnosticsand repairs on buildings, HVAC systems, fire systems, furnishings,corporate vehicles, grounds maintenance and equipment maintenance. Workswith contractors and vendors to validate that work is completed ascommitted, and are consistent with service level agreements (SLA).Assist vendors in the completion of projects as required.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Conducts building maintenance by performing routine and preventativemaintenance at all facilities to include space planning, work stationadjustments, and furniture moves.Assists vendors/contractors with building access and to assist withcontracted jobs as needed.Assists with the maintenance of corporate vehicles.Assists with periodic inspections at assigned facilities.Assists with unexpected emergencies such as power outages, equipmentfailures, damage to buildings, security breaches, water and sewerdamage. May be assigned to be on-call after hours.Other duties as requiredMinimum Formal Education Required for this Position:High School Diploma or EquivalentMinimum work experience:1+ years combined experience with maintaining / repairing equipment,facilities maintenance, construction, or other related experience to gainthe technical skills below.(Preferred) 1+ years general experience in an industrial,commercial, or facilities operations setting.Technical or specialized knowledge/skills:Understanding of skills associated with the one or more of the followingareas: Carpentry, Electrical systems, Fire/Safety systems,Plumbing, HVAC, Painting, and Grounds Maintenance.Understanding of preventive maintenance requirements for motor vehicles.Knowledge and skill in the types and uses of small hand held tools and powertools.Knowledge of safety practices and procedures followed in connection withmaintenance tasks including, but not limited to electrical, HVAC, andplumbing systems, machine operation, climbing equipment (ladders,scaffolds, rigging, etc), hand-tools, chemical solvents, and cleaning agents.Ability to comprehend and learn state and local laws, rules, regulationsand codes relevant to the trade.Ability to maintain records.Ability to perform basic math.Ability to read and interpret such documents as technical and equipmentoperation manuals, plans, specifications, blueprints, etc.Ability to follow written and oral instructions.Able to communicate details of a situation clearly and concisely.Certifications required:Valid Colorado State drivers license and an acceptable driving record.Must obtain 30-hour OSHA certification within six months of hire date.Environmental, physical and psychological requirements:Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in both indoor andoutdoor environments under varying extremes of heat, cold, or otherenvironmental factors. Work area may contain potential environmental hazards(dust, debris, project materials, etc.). Awareness of work areaconditions at all times to ensure proper equipment is used/ safetyprocedures are followed is critical. Must be comfortable climbing to andworking at building roof heights on scaffolding, ladders, or otherspecialized equipment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists forrepetitive tasks such as typing, using small hand tools, and operating atelephone. Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of aconstruction environment must be able to see fine detail and make precisionadjustments or material modifications using hand tools. Must be able tointeract via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, andcourtesy with internal/external customers or vendors under varyingcircumstances. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. Must beable to drive a motor vehicle
