Colarelli Construction Commercial Construction Estimator in Colorado Springs, Colorado
The Commercial Construction Estimator is a full time exempt position. The ideal candidate is detail orientated with a demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize as well as strong organization and communication skills. This person will be responsible for developing accurate and reliable estimates for multiple, simultaneous projects.
Understands project plans and specifications
Responsible to oversee profit and loss relating to assigned projects and will develop regular margin projections
Strong conceptual estimating skill
Ability to independently develop complete estimates
Developing and managing estimates on multiple, simultaneous projects
Work closely with Management Team in the development to ensure accurate estimates and assumptions meet project requirements
Work with clients and design teams
Coordinate the completion of all client deliverables for estimates to insure consistency
Identify appropriate trade contractors and develop sub lists for budgets, bids and RFPs
Proficient in all trade scope review and identifying potential concerns/issues on projects
Ability to independently develop accurate detailed self perform estimates
Track, price and negotiate project cost changes
Demonstrates the ability to encourage personal and professional development in team members.
Demonstrates a positive attitude and professionalism
Detail orientated with strong leadership, communication, problem solving, initiative and team building skills.
Knowledgeable in construction and estimating software as well as windows applications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Bachelor?s degree in one of the following: Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
5 years of experience in a Preconstruction role in the commercial construction Industry, field experience a plus with ground up & tenant finish experience
Demonstrable experience in roles of increasing responsibility in commercial construction estimating
Position requires a clean driving record and valid driver?s license
OSHA 10 Certified
Position requires an acceptable background check per company standards
