In addition,these positions are eligible for paid time off in the form of vacation,holiday, jury duty and, under some Wage Determinations, the employeesare eligiHere's more about this this specific position:OBJECTIVEEnsure that a variety of routine laundry duties, such as sorting soiledlinen, operating flatwork machinery, hand folding, pressing,stacking, bundling and other assigned duties are performed.REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. preferredOTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCESThe incumbent must conduct themselves in a professional manner conducive to aproduct work environment, demonstrate good judgment, ability to interpretand follow instructions, and good hand/eye coordination. The incumbentmust be able to communicate properly and work with persons with disabilitiesand disadvantaging conditions.Reading and math ability is crucial.The incumbent must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stoop, walk, andstand for extended periods of time. Must be able to see stains and tornlinens. Must be able to work some weekends and designated holidays.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS {Essential Functions}Laundry AssemblyThe Laundry Assembler will perform necessary laundry duties assigned duringshifts to include; sorting soiled linens into carts by specificcategories; (standard linens, garments, and specialty items).Receive clean damp linen from washing/tumbler area and/or clean dry linensfrom dryers and fold, stack and tie into bundles or shrink wrap.Flatwork AssemblyThe Laundry Assembler will ensure all work is performed at the highest levelof quality utilizing flatwork ironing machinery. Duties include: feedinglarge items into flatwork ironing machinery, receiving linen from flatworkironing machinery or folders; sort, fold, stack and tie into bundles andshrink wrap placing onto shelves or into carts. In addition, the incumbentwill operate presser for finishing garments and fold or hand them on rocks,distribute stained or torn linen for rewashing per account.Relationship ManagementThe Laundry Assembler will report to work prepared to accomplish duties asassigned and consistently communicate areas of concern or issues in anappropriate and timely manner to the Maintenance Engineer or Project Managerfor resolution.ResultsTeamworkTrustPhysical RequirementsAttachment to Job DescriptionThis information is required to ensure compliance with various workplaceregulations.
